Canara Bank Delhi Circle conducted the National Level Quiz competition “CANARA KNOWLEDGE CHAMP” 2019 September 1 to unleash the potential
in India’s youth through reigniting their minds and help them scale new heights.
The event was organized at Dogra Hall, Indian Institute of Technology, Hauz Khas and witnessed overwhelming response with 1540 students from 400 schools, from in and around Delhi participating in the quiz competition.
The event included a preliminary competition for all participating students. Post which 6 teams, comprising of 2 students each qualified for the final quiz round. Master Siddh Mamtani and Master K Shiva Sai from Gyan Bharti school Saket secured the first place in the quiz competition, while Master
Navan Chauhan and Master Harshil Sindhi from Birla Vidya Niketan school and Master Agrim Gupta and Master Divyansh Jain from Amity International, Pushp Vihar school qualified as the first and second runners up.
The winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates handed over by Shri Santanu Kumar Majumdar, General Manager, Delhi Circle, Canara Bank along with a cash prize of Rs 50,000/- for the winner and Rs 30,000/- and Rs 20,000/- for the 1st and 2nd runners up respectively.
There was also a lucky draw organized for students who did not qualify for the final round. Winners of the lucky draw were handed over gifts as token of appreciation.
The programme was attended by the General Manager Shri Santanu Kumar Majumdar, all Deputy General Managers of Circle Office Delhi, Regional Heads of Delhi and Noida Regional Offices and other Executives. The Bank is conducting such quiz competition across the country over the next 2 months with the national level finals scheduled in November 2019, coinciding with children’s day.
