The food delivery platform Swiggy has launched ‘Swiggy Go’ recently, which will make instant pick-up and delivery across the city. Through this, apart from eating in any corner of the city, laundry products, forgotten keys, flowers, lunch boxes, gifts etc. can be delivered at home. Right now this service has been launched only in Bengaluru, but the company plans to reach this 300 cities by 2020. Like Swiggy stores, Swiggy Go service will also be part of the Swiggy app.
Swiggy Go service can be very useful for those people who have forgotten any important items at home in a hurry. In this service, the goods will be picked from the place of forgetting and then its delivery will be done at the given address.
Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety has stated that he plans to bring Swiggy Go to more than 300 cities by 2020. The company’s statement further stated that all deliveries to Swiggy Go and stores will be delivered by Swiggy’s delivery fleet. With this, the delivery partners of the company will get more sources for income.
The company has partnered with over 300 merchants for Swiggy Go service. The Swiggy Go service has recently been launched following a statement by the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) in which the association questioned the discounts offered through food delivery platforms such as Swiggy, Zomato, Uber Eats, Food Panda. The association had also talked about transparency in the price of food items for users.
